When you use Tawazun, we collect:

• Your name and email address (from your Google or Microsoft account)
• Your approximate location (city and country, to calculate prayer times)
• Your calendar preferences (which prayers to sync and their durations)
• Your Google or Microsoft calendar access token (managed securely by Nylas)

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

• Calculate your five daily prayer times based on your location
• Create and manage prayer time blocks in your connected calendar
• Send you optional weekly wisdom emails and reminders
• Operate and improve the Tawazun service

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your data to any third party
• We do not read, store, or analyze your existing calendar events
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes
• We do not share your data with anyone except the service providers listed below

Third-Party Services

Tawazun uses the following third-party services:

• Nylas — calendar integration (nylas.com)
• Supabase — secure database and authentication (supabase.com)
• Resend — email delivery (resend.com)
• Stripe — voluntary payment processing (stripe.com)
• Vercel — hosting infrastructure (vercel.com)

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from your settings page, which will permanently remove all your data from our systems.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw calendar access at any time from your settings

Calendar Data

Tawazun only creates, updates, and deletes calendar events that it has created (identified by “Automated by Tawazun” in the description). We never read, modify, or delete any other events in your calendar.

Security

All sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. Calendar access is managed through industry-standard OAuth 2.0.
